Summary It's easy to get engrossed with the technology of E-Commerce but as with all technologies, it should be an enabler of business strategy and be driven by the market. The consumer then is an ideal focus for our inaugural meeting.

This presentation will look at:

  • the current E-Commerce consumer
  • the future marketing strategies for E-Commerce
  • how the communications experience needs to get closer to the consumption experience
  • can home delivery be an effective choice for either consumer or supplier?
  • future development scenarios, including the role of the brand
The presentation is based on client work that includes primary research, brand and scenario planning, strategy implementation, and NPD.

Carol Samms Through the Loop is a strategic marketing consultancy founded by Carol Samms and Martin Payne in August 1996, after 21 years at McCann-Erickson Advertising.

It provides clients with focused, added-value research in such areas as Brand and Market Scenario Planning, Strategy Implementation, New Product and Service Development, Competitor Intelligence and Communications Strategy Planning.

Their clients include Coca-Cola , Boots, Unilever, and McCann Erickson. Recently Through the Loop has formed a learning alliance with the Kingston Business School. Carol is a member of the International Advertising Association and the Strategic Planning Society.
