From idea to a practical solution
|
|
| Speaker |
Stephen
R.H.Ortiz, Strategic Account Manager, PSINet UK |
|
| Summary |
This meeting
will take the form of an interactive workshop. A member of the
audience will outline an e-commerce opportunity and then Stephen
will take us through the process of turning the idea into a
production system. Members of the audience will be able to take
the roles of marketing, sales, finance, production, etc. raising
various issues to which Stephen will then propose options and
solutions. He will highlight the service and cost impact of these
options. Stephen will also suggest the role of 3rd party suppliers
in providing the necessary development skills and resources, as
well as in reducing risk.
At the end of this meeting, participants should have a clear idea
of the process of developing an e-commerce solution, the issues
that they will need to address, and some of the options available.
