market is viewed by many of the IT industry leaders (Oracle,
Microsoft, Intel, HP, UUNET, SUN etc.) as the next serious market
opportunity.
The presentation starts with a strategic level overview of the ASP
market highlighting key enablers and drivers as well as emerging
players, partnerships, growth potential and investment
opportunities. Focus will be on international trends with European
examples.
The second part of the presentation will focus in on the
implications of the ASP model for e-commerce outsourcing in the
SME market. Pace of change coupled with increasing complexity and
cost of developing e-commerce offerings is seen a golden
opportunity for the ASP market. The presentation will highlight
some of the key benefits, risks and threats for small and medium
size companies. |

Sarah
Skinner is an European Internet Analyst at Durlacher Research,
focusing on the Western European Internet, ISP, ASP and OSP
industries.
Sarah has a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the
University of Cape Town (South Africa) and an Honours degree in
Journalism majoring in Internet Research. Prior to joining
Durlacher Research, Sarah was Senior Analyst at Gartner Group.
Here she was responsible for heading up the European Network
Service.
Prior to this Sarah worked in telecommunications and Internet
research in both Hong Kong and South Africa.
