| Summary |
So you want to launch
your own, low cost e-commerce web-site?
A few years ago, undertaking a secure transaction processing web
site demanded much technical knowledge, high risk and deep
pockets. To-day there is a wealth of options making such a venture
within the reach of even the smallest company.
Our speaker will explore these options with us, from DIY design
& build of one's own site using selected softwares, to
commissioning media companies through to outsourcing all tasks to
Application Server Provider's with their standard solutions.
We will look at the business factors in making these choices as
well as the practical operational aspects such as how to get paid
(including Merchant Services), how to deliver the goods and then
service our customer's ongoing needs!
Application issues such as site design & navigation, security,
performance, charges, costs, maintenance, search engines and legal
& administration issues will also be covered in varying
degrees to reflect the important and topical issues at the time.
This promises to be a practical evening for those building,
contemplating or advising others on creating their own internet
trading site. Other groups will be joining us so do book early to
ensure your place.
