addressed the
issues and methods whereby both individuals and companies can use
eLearning to maintain and enhance their knowledge assets
Matty Smith from Henley will introduce the topic and briefly
describe the way technology helps Henley to deliver courses and
maintain a collaborative learning community.
Chris Campbell of fuel will give a corporate perspective.
He will be explaining the barriers fuel have encountered and some
the strategies employed to remove them. He will examine some of
the critical elements involved in eLearning and explain some of
the more creative approaches to information delivery. Chris will
give examples of eLearning success at Cable & Wireless, Canon
and others.
Fenella Galpin will explain how eLearning can help individuals
take responsibility for their own training and development. She
will show how eLearning can be made an attractive option for
individuals, how it can be delivered just in time, and how it can
link learners and coaches. She will also address the limitations
of e-learning. Fenella will draw on her own research and examples
from a range of organisations.
We will conclude with a Q&A panel session with all 3 speakers.

Matty Smith
is Henley's Director of Learning & Teaching Services. The
focus of her role is to promote and influence the development of
quality in learning and teaching through the effective use of
learning technologies. She recently gained a MSc in Networked
Learning from Lancaster University.
Henley Management College delivers MBA and Executive programmes to
ten thousands of students world wide using the web and other
interactive technologies.

Chris
Campbell, a co-founders of fuel. He began his career as a
technical consultant at ICL in 1989, and then he moved into
technical education, delivering a wide variety of subjects.
Fuel was established in 1995 to focus on the delivery of classroom
based, bespoke technical education. Four years ago fuel embarked
on the strategy of expanding its educational reach through
technology. Today fuel employs 120 people, split between London
and Mumbai, and
delivering course world wide. It's the European market leader in
its chosen sectors. Clients include Canon, SAP, Reuters, BP &
UBS.

Fenella
Galpin worked for many years with e-learning at Henley
Management College, leaving in 2000 to establish independent
consultancy E-Learning Solutions. Recently Fenella has been
working on e-learning projects such as establishing virtual
business schools, designing and developing various e-learning
courses and online communities, and delivering courses on
Instructional Design for e-learning.
She works closely with Skillsoft Corporation, a leading provider
of e-learning solutions. Fenella also works as a Regional Manager
for the Open University Business School. |
